STYLE TIPS - PARIS (winters)

Paris is one of the top destinations in the world. Be it honeymoon or friends trip, Paris is on everyone’s list. This stylish city has so much to offer. French are very stylish people and a tourist always wants to blend in. Paris is a Year round destination and it looks equally wonderful in winters too. Rather I like it more in winters because of the less crowd.

We always wonder that some of our friends post great photographs of the trip while others seem just average. Well, it is indeed the photography but not to forget the colour combination and what you wear adds that extra OOMPH factor too. Winters are foggy and harsh in Europe. There is no other alternative to a great photograph before the Eiffel Tower or louvre.

Here are some tips will never harm on what to wear and how to style yourself for those great photographs.
Clothing
  1. The first rule to winters in any part of Europe is layering. A good quality inner goes a long way. Layering is generally done in three parts. First is inners, second is light wool clothing like sweaters and sweats. Third is heavy and waterproof clothes like jackets.
  2. Don’t wear boring clothes like jeans and jackets. Think innovative and warm. Go for woollen dresses and skirts. Pair them with warm coats or shrugs. Keep colours in your mind as winters are grey. The more you wear colourful clothes the better pictures come and you look a beauty.
  3. Invest in warm tights to wear underneath skirts and dresses. That really helps. Believe me, I have done that and now when I see my holiday pics I do not repent my decision of packing more skirts and frocks than jeans for winters in Europe.
  4. A good wool stole is a must to be tied stylishly around your handbag. It will protect you from harsh cold winds in Europe. These winds are always to be found in winters so a stole is a must. I remember when I was visiting Louvre in February, the rain was unstoppable, accompanied by heavy winds that you couldn’t tell which way to hide. Imagine, Louvre is an open space and nowhere to hide. It was an adventure though as it seems now.
  5. Waterproofing, waterproofing!!. Europe in winters is wet. Paris weather is unpredictable and it can rain anytime. Always carry an umbrella and if possible waterproof windcheater.
  6. High boots look chic with dresses so don’t forget to pack them.
  7. A handbag and gloves to keep all the above stuff in your bag and to protect your hands respectively. Don’t forget to buy something stylish.
  8. Carry a chic Water bottle with you as Paris is best explored by walking or cycling.

     MAKEUP
  1. Moisturise as much as you can with heavy creams.
  2. Moisturise your lips well before any makeup. Keep lip balm always with you.
  3. Hydrating BB creams with SPF 20 or more, are only resort as the climate is very cold and harsh so you need something that replenishes your skin.
  4. If you want to apply foundation or concealer go for something moist and not dry
I HOPE, I WAS HELPFUL.
MAKE YOUR HOLIDAYS STYLISH AND PHOTOGRAPHS GREAT.
